I met Alex and Chris at a wedding show almost 2 years ago. Besides their unambiguous good looks, what I quickly learned about them is that they were incredibly sweet, winsome, kind, and most importantly, they were a man and a woman of strong faith, with strong values and a healthy world view. We quickly connected.
Earlier in the year, they contacted me and asked me if I could do them a huge favor. I learned about how Chris’ mom was severely ill and they wanted to honor her by moving the “formal” portion of the wedding to March, but would continue to plan for a September 7, 2020 wedding (or at least the festive portion/reception). And so, I joined them in March for their vows which they made to one another at their church in front of an intimate group of friends and relatives.
But yesterday, they celebrated in front of many more of their friends and relatives. And so, I was honored to capture their festivities at the superlatively stunning and breathtaking venue known as Stone Mill Inn located in Hallam, Pennsylvania. This sprawling historic estate is used as a wedding venue and is carefully decorated with a Bohemian flair including indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception areas, textured and beautifully decorated buildings, window sills, chandliers, decorative globe lights, gardens, water fountains, and much more, along with a wood-chip lined trail that leads to a beautiful ceremony area in the woods. Truly, a dream spot!
Most fascinating about this property is the staff. I have covered weddings for many years, and only a few stand out. Stone Mill Inn had the consummate professional staff who tended to everyone’s needs, quickly, in an organized and team-oriented fashion. Kudos to the proprietor Ken and his world-class team led by Nichole and Kate who hit a grand slam with their impeccable service! If you are looking for a wedding venue, be sure to check them out. Your search stops here and you won’t be disappointed!
