Change of plans? No problem! At least that was the attitude Olivia and Greg had when they preempted and rescheduled their wedding date from the cornovairus-laden 2020 year to April 16, 2021. Throughout it all, Olivia and Greg rolled with the punches and simply wanted to put on a beautiful event and festivities for their family and friends. To be sure, their wedding was the largest wedding I’ve covered in the last year – a good sign that things are returning to normal as weddings are being planned again!
I got to know Olivia and Greg during their Engagement Photo session we did together back in September 2020 at the breathtaking garden estate known as Longwood Gardens. What I discovered was a pair of lovebirds that very much understood who they are, what their strengths were, and what getting married was all about. As always is the case, it is always helpful for my beautiful couples and I to work together prior to the wedding so that the mystery of posing and working with someone who will be entering into a very intimate and private affair, that is their wedding, and the “fear of the unknown” is gone!
So on this day, April 16, 2021, Olivia and Greg tied the knot, figuratively and literally, at the stunning historic property known as Phoenixville Foundry in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Joined by many of their loved ones, the ceremony took place outdoors in front of the beautifully decorated trellis, followed by a ritzy cocktail hour on the glass-encased second floor adjacent to the original stacks. I had to do a double take seeing so many people celebrating and enjoying themselves in the most relaxed way! Even though I’ve done many wedding since the pandemic started, needless to say, it’s been stressful on everyone. Without reservation, I can say that this was the first “chill” wedding in over a year!
The festivities continued in the grand ballroom, followed by great music and dancing to celebrate Olivia and Greg’s union as husband and wife. So join me as we take a brief sneak peek tour of their wedding and please be sure to give a shout out to the bridal party and all the creatives (at the bottom) who worked tirelessly in making Olivia and Greg’s dreams come true!
