Eighty degrees in late August. Low humidity. A cool breeze. Swaying corn stalks in the distance. A sweet old chocolate lab guarding the historic farm property in Westminster. Now that is a recipe for a beautiful and sweet wedding!

Please join me, my assistant Michelle, along with the bride and groom, Tara and Adam on a “sneak peak” preview of their wedding day at the vintage and textured property known as The Royer House. The Royer House is listed on the National Registry of History Places. This stunning wedding venue comes with a the long driveway leading to the property, flanked by stately sugar maples. The main building, a stone and brick farm home/gathering house was built in 1827 for the newlywed Christian Royer. Completely renovated in the 1980’s, the interior of the Royer House is anything but aged. Boasting modern amenities, fixtures and features, it retains its charm with period chosen hardware and antiques, and original wide plank pine flooring that stretches throughout the house. Along with a tented wedding facility, open grounds, and a pond, all surrounded by farmlands, this venue was the perfect setting for Tara and Adam’s wedding.

Tara and Adam’s spin on their wedding day included an intimate family-only ceremony, followed by a larger guest list reinactment ceremony officiated by a Maryland circuit court judge!
