Unassuming but drop dead gorgeous ingenue. Manly man (with tatts and a soft spot for his girl).
In a few words, that describes Alyssa and Matt.
No matter how many times I might meet the bride and groom (to be) before the wedding, I get the first “real” sneak peak of their personalities during the engagement photo session. Here, the bride and groom become a bit more vulnerable and “let their hair down” so-to-speak. This is not only important to capture great engagement photos, but enable the clients and myself to get a feel for what its like to work together. I can’t tell you enough how important it is to get engagement photos for these and many more reasons. By the time the wedding rolls around, the clients are so comfortable around me (and my team) that it affords us the best vibe and camaraderie – all important to make your wedding day photos come out the best!
On this Spring 2017 day, Alyssa and I decided that the best place to stage her engagement photos with her fiancé Matt is at the historic Jerusalem Mill in Kingsville, Maryland, not far from their wedding ceremony and reception venue – Mountain Branch Country Club. Country pastures. Historic stone buildings. Blacksmith. A tannery. All part of this historic location. As fortune would have it, the weather was a bright and sunny day, perfect for ambient and natural light photography.
So as Alyssa and Matt continue to plan for and get ready for their early Fall wedding festivities, join me and my assistant Samantha in viewing some teaser shots from their engagement session.
